Song Genre Classification Using Multi-Task Deep Learning and BERT

This study explored the application of MultiTask Learning (MTL) in the domain of song genre classification. Two hard parameter sharing architectures based on CNN and BERT models were employed for this purpose. Further, both architectures were trained with a range of auxiliary tasks concerning song characteristics such as romance, violence, and sadness to assess the impact of their addition on the target task of genre classification.

Image Segmentation Using Multi-Task Deep Learning

This study explored an MTL approach to image segmentation. An MTL framework that combines minimum bounding boxes and image-level classification was implemented and evaluated with the target task of pixel-level segmentation.

About Me

I am currently a masters student at University College London studying Machine Learning with a 4.0 GPA average so far. Before that I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Warwick. During both degrees I have taken software engineering related classes like Algorithms, Databases etc. I have also been self-studying in my free time. When I finish my degree in September, I would like to start working as either a Software Engineer, Data Analyst/Engineer.

2018

Started pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematic and Statistics at the University of Wariwck (top 20 in statistics).

2019

First experience as a Data Science Intern, working with RESTful APIs and Deep Learning.

2020

Second experience as a Data Science Intern, building forecasting models in Python.

2021

Third experience as a Data Science Intern, using Selenium for automation. Finished my Bachelor's with a 3.5 GPA and started a master's degree in Machine Learning at UCL (top 20 in CS).

2022

Currently finishing my master's degree and working on furhter developing my skills in software engineering.
